There has been quite a bit of talk lately in the media about Apple’s new tablet. And while Apple has yet to officially set a release date for this piece of technology, speculators believe that the tablet is set for release later this month. And with this release, many people believe that a revolution will come that will forever change the way we use technology. Apple is one of those companies that continue to set the bar for its competitors. It creates devices that change the playing field, and completely alter the way that people use technology.
Beginning with the iPod, Apple created the standard for portable music devices. While other mp3 players are available to consumers, none of them come close to comparing to the iPod. Most people equate the iPod to the one and only mp3 player. This same phenomenon occurred with the iPhone. While other smart phones are out there, not one of them comes close to providing consumers with what the iPhone does. Bearing in mind that Apple has a proven track record of setting industry standards and pushing the technological envelope, one can only imagine what the new Tablet will be like. The tablet concept is by no means a new idea, but it is definitely one that has room for growth. Tablets have been around since the 1990s, but they just haven’t been able to catch on in vast consumer markets. They have been quite costly in the past, and have not been particularly easy to use. Most tablets required a stylus, which is something like a pen that is used to write on the screen. For whatever reason, consumers have not found tablets of the past to be good investments. With the advanced touch screen technology that Apple uses on its iPhones and iPod Touches, we can safely guess that the Tablet will utilize the same idea, but on a larger screen. It is also rumored that one model of the Tablet will come equipped with a keyboard so that it can quickly transform into something of a notebook computer. Anybody who has used the MacBook Pro knows that Apple is ahead of the curve when it comes to notebook computers, so the Tablet is sure to be a hit.
The Tablet will provide consumers with one more option in the world of technology. It is believed that the Tablet is somewhere between the size of a MacBook Pro and an iPhone. It will provide a new platform for consumers to subscribe to their favorite online journals and media sources. Moreover, it will have full capacity to browse the Web, and will likely be able to process documents as well. It is safe to bet that consumers will be pleasantly surprised with all the Tablet can do if it is released later this month.
