apple with a heartThere is unlikely to be anybody out there who has yet to at least hear of a Mac computer. However, despite the widespread name recognition that Macs have, not everybody has actually tried a Mac personally. And trying a Mac is perhaps the single-most persuasive thing people could do in regards to coming around to a Mac. Whether a consumer is in the market for a notebook or desktop computer, giving a Mac a try should be a number one priority. With notebooks, a MacBook Pro is a must try, and with desktop computers, an iMac is a must try. Until consumers at the very least give these Macs a try, they should never purchase any new computer.

There are several things that make Macs stand out as the best personal computers on the market. The following discussion focuses on just a handful of the features that make Macs — from MacBook Pros to iMacs — the best computers available to consumers.

1. Macs are instantly wireless. MacBook Pros do not require any configuration to connect to the Internet. All available wireless networks instantly appear on the screen, and users merely have to click on the network they want and they are connected.

2. Macs do not get PC viruses. Perhaps the biggest problem with PCs is that there are so many viruses designed to attack them. Almost without exception, PC users complain of viruses and spyware that attack their system. As of date, MacBook Pro and iMac users do not experience virus problems.

3. Macs stay up to date. MacBook Pro and iMac users are always current with their updates because Macs surf the Web frequently to check for updates that are available. Once updates are ready to be installed, users are notified and they have the option of installing them to their computer.

4. Macs are ready to go out of the box. A big problem with many computers is that they require a substantial amount of setting up before they are ready to go. Macs, on the other hand are ready to go immediately upon purchasing them.

5. Macs are intuitive to use. Everybody who uses a Mac agrees that they are easy to use. Despite the common misconception that there is somewhat of a learning curve involved when users get a new Mac, most people find that switching to a Mac is quick and easy to do. And for people with no previous computer knowledge, Macs are by far the easiest type of computer to learn on.

6. Macs are quick and efficient. Using a MacBook Pro or an iMac is the best computer experience available to consumers. They are extremely quick when compared to PCs and browse from page to page with near instantaneous speed. Waiting for a homepage to boot is a thing of the past for Mac owners.

7. Macs are wonderful communication tools. Every new MacBook Pro comes equipped with a Web camera and software that enables users to video chat with ease.

This is just a short list of the reasons for which computer users find Macs are the best option. As mentioned above, however, until people try Macs for themselves they will never know just how wonderful they really are.

The first sign that my university mathematics program was going to hell was when they switched all the computers to macs. That was the day the program died. I mean all the profs were smart enough to use linux, and there were even computers that still ran windows, but the abortions that was mac filled the room like a horrid monstrosity, offering errors and screw ups at every turn. It was like a sign of an imminent curse: an equivalence to 'rats leaving a ship'. How I loathe mac. Die mac die. AWFUL!
