Publicist/Assistant to the Executive Director Internship
New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference
The
New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference, a 10-member
NCAA Division III Athletic Conference, is now accepting
applications for the Internship position of Conference Publicist/Assistant
to the Executive Director.
The
Intern will assist the Executive Director with all aspects
of NEWMAC public relations and some administrative responsibilities.
This position will provide the intern the opportunity to
gain valuable experience in the management of the day-to-day
operations of a college conference. Primary responsibilities
include, but are not limited to: maintaining the conference
website; writing and disseminating press releases; publishing
and submitting score reports, standings and statistics to
conference constituents, media outlets, and the NCAA; updating
conference directories; assisting with the implementation
of awards program; assisting with conference scheduling;
developing championship programs and assisting with general
championship management; maintaining conference archives;
and assisting with conference meetings. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree; strong communication and interpersonal
skills with an emphasis on writing and collaboration; excellent
technical and organizational skills.
The
desired start date for this 9-month position is September
1, 2007. Salary: $12,000. The position will be based at
Babson College in Babson Park, MA. This position reports
to and will be evaluated by the conference Executive Director.

Coach.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Head coach responsibilities include management of all facets
of the Women’s Ice Hockey program; administration,
budget management, fundraising, recruiting, scheduling of
competitions, team travel, weekly practice sessions, competitions,
counseling of students, and scrupulous compliance with NCAA
and conference rules and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred: 1 to 3 years head coaching experience at the
high school, college, university, or club level.
