appletvApple is now doing for television what it has done for computers. In other words, Apple TV is revolutionizing the way people use their televisions. Gone are the days when television viewers stood at the mercy of the television networks, and had no control over what programs were played at any given time. With Apple TV, consumers of television programs now have complete control over what they watch, and when they watch it. A virtual world of entertainment opens up to Apple TV owners, and this post helps illustrate precisely how that happens.

By only connecting one HDMI cable, Apple TV turns regular HDTV into much more. Apple TV gives consumers access to a plethora of movies and television shows. Not only are classic movies available on Apple TV, but recent Hollywood hits also become available well before they are released at the local video store. Additionally, hit television shows become available on Apple TV the day after they are aired on cable or network television. For a small fee, Apple TV owners can purchase their favorite movies or television shows, and then store them on their Apple TV hard drive.

In addition to playing movies and television shows, Apple TV allows consumers to play the music stored on their iTunes through their home theater system. With AirPort Extreme, consumers can wirelessly sync their MacBook Pro or iMac to their Apple TV and then play music from their computer’s library on their home theater system. Too many people create enormous song libraries on their MacBook Pro, and then have no way of amplifying the sound through their home. The combination of Apple TV and AirPort Extreme eradicate this problem. And in addition to playing songs from iTunes, Apple TV also has the capacity to play internet radio, so there is never a shortage of new music for Apple TV owners.

Any song, movie or television show that consumers purchase on Apple TV can be synced to their computer, iPod, iPhone or Touch. In other words, anything purchased on an Apple TV can be transferred to other media devices and shared in other locations. Consumers are not limited to using their purchases on their home theater system, but can take them on the go, wherever a MacBook Pro or iPod reaches – which is virtually anywhere.

Apple TV can also be used to display photos and home videos. We all understand the common problem that digital cameras present us with. The sad fact of the matter is that all too many people store thousands of photographs to their computer’s hard drive, but never print them and thus do not have the capacity to share them with others. Apple TV allows people to send their photographs to their home television to be displayed in slide show images. Now, with Apple TV, photographs come to life in brilliant HD.

In short, Apple TV is the future of television. Apple TV owners unanimously agree that the interactive experience provided with Apple TV is incomparable to the television experience that was available only a few years ago. And as Apple TV is intuitive to use, there is nobody who cannot benefit from it.
