Position Description
MIT Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation is seeking an
Instructor in Physical Education and Full-Time Head Coach of Men's Tennis and
Squash. This is a Promotions Track Position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Head coach responsibilities include teaching physical education activities and
management of all facets of the Mens Tennis and Squash programs; administration,
budget management, fundraising, recruiting, scheduling of competitions, team
travel, weekly practice sessions, competitions, counseling of students, and
scrupulous compliance with NCAA and conference rules and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3 to 5 years head coaching experience at the high school, college, university,
or 3 to 5 years experience as an assistant coach at the college/university level.
A Bachelor's degree is required: a Masters degree is preferred. Degree(s) in
Physical Education or related field is highly desirable. Previous experience
in teaching physical education activities is also preferred.
