Clark University’s Administrative Intern Stacy Kelly Accepts Position at Mitchell College

Worcester, MA - Stacy Kelly, an administrative intern at Clark University of Worcester, MA for the past two years, recently accepted the Associate Director of Athletics position at Mitchell College in New London, CT. The internship was part of the NCAA Division III Ethnic/Women’s Minority Internship grant program. Mitchell College is a NCAA Division III provisional member institution and member of the Association of Division III Independents and East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) .

Kelly’s primary responsibilities at Clark have included assisting the sports information director and assistant athletics director with the day-to-day operations of Clark’s 17-sport program. In addition, she was responsible for overseeing the completion of all initial eligibility paperwork for the student-athletes and implemented the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Compliance Assistance Software (CAi) for the department. Kelly served as assistant coach for the Clark softball team for the 2005 season.

Kelly attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where she received her master’s degree in sport administration in May 2004. While at Wisconsin-La Crosse, she served as an assistant to the associate director of athletics and a teaching assistant in the exercise and sports science department. Her duties in the athletic department included primary management of game and event operations for regular and post season competition in the sports of volleyball, basketball, swimming and diving, gymnastics and softball.

Prior to working at Wisconsin-La Crosse, Kelly attended Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa and earned her teaching degree in K-12 physical education and health with a minor in athletic training. Kelly was active as a student-athlete, student-trainer and student-worker in multiple areas within the athletic department. Originally from Van Horne, IA, Kelly is a graduate of Benton Community High School.
