University Names Dalya Qualls Sports Information Director

Worcester,
MA - Clark University Athletic Director Linda Moulton recently announced
the hiring of Dalya Qualls as Clark’s full-time Sports Information
Director. Qualls replaces Head Women’s Soccer Coach and current
Sports Information Director Joe Brady. Brady, who has served as
the Sports Information Director for the last five years, will continue
to direct the women’s soccer program at Clark and assume administrative
responsibilities as well as serve as Intramural Director.
“We are
very pleased and excited that Dalya will be joining our department,”
commented Moulton. “She brings solid experience and unqualified
enthusiasm to her position and will be a wonderful addition to the
Clark community. I know that our staff and student-athletes will
enjoy working with her. We all look forward to the contributions
she will make in a variety of areas throughout the University.”
Prior to joining
Clark, Qualls worked as an Assistant SID at Keene (N.H.) State College
for the past three years. She was a product of the NCAA Division
III Ethnic/Women’s Minority Internship grant. During her tenure
at KSC, Qualls helped promote and publicize the Owls’ 16 varsity
sports. Her accomplishments include implementation of Stat Crew
software for eight sports and the creation of Little East Conference
tournament programs.
“I am
honored to have been chosen as Clark’s full-time Sports Information
Director,” Qualls said. “I have been working diligently
to prepare myself for this opportunity, and am confident that I
will be successful here.”
A native of
Belleville, Ill., Qualls has previously interned with the St. Louis
Sports Commission and the St. Louis University Billiken media relations
staff. Qualls graduated from the University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign
with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2000. She recently completed
her Master’s Degree from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville
in Mass Communications (2005).
