MIT Beats Bridgewater St., 3-0 in NCAA Volleyball Tournament

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Briana Stephenson tallied a match-high 13 kills as MIT defeated Bridgewater State College, 30-19, 30-21, 30-27, in the first round of the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament. With the win, the Engineers (29-8) will face either host Colby College or Mount Ida College Friday, Nov. 11 at 7:00 p.m. in the regional semifinals.

Frances Rogoz posted 10 kills and a team high three aces while Austin Zimmerman distributed 41 assists and added 11 digs. Tech's defense was a dominant force as it held the Bears to a team hitting percentage of .043. Arlis Reynolds anchored the backline with 23 digs while Carrie Buchanan amassed 10 digs. Caroline Jordan paced the blocking corps with one solo and three assisted blocks.
