•  Promote a positive student-athlete image
•  Solicit student-athlete response to proposed NCAA legislation
•  Provide a forum for communication between student-athletes from different institutions and student-athletes participating in different sports.
•  Exchange ideas about other campus SAAC groups.
•  Provide a student voice at the conference level on conference policies and NCAA policies.
•  Encourage the promotion of positive sportsmanship and respect between NEWMAC institutions.
•  Discuss and develop leadership principles and share principles discussed with campus SAAC groups.
