apple brandAre people born with a certain level of creative power, or is it something that can be developed and nurtured? According to one recent study, creativity can be bolstered by simple exposure to Apple products. The study examined two groups of people – Apple users and PC users, and then gave them a standard creativity test. The results convincingly demonstrated that the group that used the Apple products showed a marked improvement in creativity over the PC users.

To the skeptics out there who believe that people have what they have when it comes to creativity, there is good reason to believe that Apple products could indeed help people tap into previously un-channeled creativity reserves. Almost without exception, people who use Apple products remark about Apple’s uncanny ability to create an intuitive product. Most people who become familiar on one Apple device can readily transfer their familiarity to other Apple devices, and intuitively know how to operate them, even without prior exposure to the new product. It is almost as if using an Apple for only a short time forever etches in people’s minds a new way to approaching technology. And from this springboard, people seem to intuitively know how to handle even complex computations.

The skills learned on one Apple product are of course readily transferrable to other Apple products. This is to say, of course, that an iPhone owner is a prime candidate for a MacBook Pro, as the two devices have a host of similarities. But the skills and creative powers that Apple users seem to acquire are not limited to the world of Apple. Rather, as the above-mentioned study indicates, the creative powers acquired by Apple users are transferable to any real world situation, whether or not the individual is using an Apple product.

This remarkable side benefit of purchasing an Apple could very well be a contributing factor to the continuous increase in market share that we see going to Apple. Since 2005, Apple has been expanding its market share in the United States market at quite an impressive rate. And while the creativity factor may be partially responsible for this, we can see a host of other clear and demonstrable reasons for which Apple sales continue to rise. In addition to being extremely intuitive, Apple products are durable, long lasting and made of the best technological equipment available. Apple users are loyal to their products for a variety of reasons, and it only takes one test run on an Apple for most people to be converted.

One plausible explanation for Apple’s continued sales increase could be increased investment in marketing campaigns. However, one look at the numbers clearly indicates that Apple spends only a fraction of what Microsoft spends on advertising. And despite this imbalance, Apple’s sales continue to climb at a quicker rate than Microsoft’s. It takes a special kind of product to grow and develop without an enormous investment in advertising, and Apple seems to have what it takes. The loyal consumer base belonging to Apple seems to promote a fierce word of mouth campaign, and it is really no wonder why.

macIn looking at the price discrepancy between Apples and the average PC, one may tend to think that Apple would have difficulty competing in this tough economy. Apples are, on average, quite a bit more expensive than PCs, but this doesn’t seem to hinder Apple’s sales growth. This has got to be attributed to the fact that you simply cannot place a price on quality. Apple users know that they get what they pay for, and in this case it is a top of the line product that is comparable to none. Apple users can rely on their product for years at a time, and if problems do happen to arise, Apple provides the best warranty program in the industry. Apple’s Apple Care warranty and service program is responsive and customer oriented to ensure that problems are remedied quickly if they arise.

There is quite a list of tangible benefits of owning an Apple. MacBook Pro and iPhone owners alike agree that their Apple product brings simplicity and satisfaction to their lives. And in addition to the tangible advantages to owning an Apple, there is the side benefit of improved creativity. With all of this, Apples just may be the best investment that savvy consumers can possibly make.
